Business Briefs: Articulate Solutions receives honors
    Jun 29, 2009

    Articulate Solutions receives honors

Actions spoke louder than words at the 2009 Communicator Awards, where Articulate Solutions Inc. was awarded three top honors, distinguishing itself from a pool of 9,000 entries worldwide.

"Receiving this acclaim at the prestigious Communicator Awards really validates the high quality of work that we endeavor to produce," said Creative Director Katherine Filice. "I am truly grateful and extraordinarily proud to share these achievements with our invaluable clients."

The marketing and design firm received the competition's highest honor, the Award of Excellence, for its Jenny Derry Design stationary logo, as well as recognition for The City of Gilroy logo and Flowers Made Simple book cover design.

"Articulate Solutions helped me solidify my ideas, creating a logo that bridged the two key facets of my company: linear organization and non-linear creativity. The branding is sharp and easily recognizable, and translated beautifully into good printed materials," said Jenny Derry, owner of residential design firm Jenny Derry Design Inc. "The staff is creative, patient and collaborative - they made the process fun."

    FleetMind integrates Alien RFID

FleetMind Solutions, Inc., which provides technology for fleet management solutions, and Alien Technology, an industrial leader for Gen 2 Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products, announced the integration of Alien's technology into the FleetMind solution to ensure real-time and fully automated service verification for waste and recycling firms.

"Inefficient service verification is a critical issue for our customers in the waste and recycling industry," said Martin Demers, CEO of FleetMind. "We have been successfully tackling this problem for several years with our Waste-specific, real-time fleet management products. As the next step, we have taken this to a whole new level with the integration of the Alien RFID technology to enable fully automated service verification. Fleet operations personnel now have immediate visibility into customer activity, can verify service accuracy, and can quickly identify carts that have been moved or stolen. Furthermore, our customers can extend this visibility to municipalities for residential service. The result - no more service complaints and related disagreements."

Alien Technology provides RFID products and services to customers in defense, transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals and other industries.

"We are pleased to work with FleetMind to achieve fully automated service verification for the waste and recycling industry," said Terrel Pruett, Senior Director of Channels for Alien Technology. "FleetMind understands that deploying RFID solutions for fleet management is not a question of if, but when. The potential for improvements to business processes is immense, and FleetMind is leading the way by making the integration of RFID capabilities a competitive requirement."

FleetMind unveiled its newest suite of industry-leading waste and recycling-specific solutions at the Waste Expo, June 9-11, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
