Family and friends gathered at Sacred Heart Parish Hall for the celebration of Wes Warren's 90th birthday. Irish step dancers and many other entertainers performed at the Irish-themed event.
Wes was honored by Compassion Pregnancy Center for 30 years of service and Knights of Columbus for 60 years of service.
All 12 of Wes' children with his late wife, Ramona Warren, who passed away in 2006, attended. Also in attendance were his brother and sister-in-law, John and Gloria Warren of San Francisco, as well as his in-laws, Don and Marian Hagins, Teresa Sanchez and Joe and Carmen Miguel, all of Hollister.

Ryan Lemmerman
Air Force Airman Ryan R. Lemmerman has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, core values, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
Lemmerman is the son of Laurie Lemmerman Castaneda of Hollister and a 2008 graduate of San Benito High School.
Seth Curtis
Air Force Airman Seth E. Curtis has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
He is the son of Robert and Tammy Curtis of Hollister and a 2006 graduate of San Benito High School.
Jheanelle Robinson
Air Force Airman Jheanelle M. Robinson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, core values, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
She is the sister of Juillard Robinson of Morgan Hill and received an associate's degree in 2008 from Gavilan Community College.
Jim Ward
James Ward of Gilroy, a law student at Roger Williams University School of Law, has won a major national legal essay award.
The Pacific Legal Foundation awarded Ward for his winning entry in the organization's John Templeton Foundation Essay on Freedom and Free Enterprise competition. His essay was titled, "When Rents of Certain Owners Are Controlled by Their Local Government, Does this Constitute a Regulatory Taking?" The award was made possible by a generous grant from the John Templeton Foundation.
Previously, an active member of the Gilroy community, Ward was a Rotarian, member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and other organizations. Ward currently resides in New England attending law school on a full scholarship. Ward plans to return to California upon completing graduate school.
Ward is a member of the honors program at Roger Williams School of Law and is also a mentor. He is a member of the Gallogly Family Inn of Court and served as an executive board member for the Multi-Cultural Law Students Association.
