Betanio said the man is on probation and prohibited from having any weapons.

Domestic violence

A 51-year-old male is being sought by police after a woman reported he kicked, slapped and threw her against a concrete wall. Betanio said the suspected assault occurred during an argument between the man and woman who are in a relationship and that they woman required treatment at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

A burglary was reported in the 100 block of Maple Street as having happened sometime between Sunday and Monday. According to a police report, an unknown suspect shattered the window of a Chevrolet van parked in the driveway of a residence and stole $4,000 worth of tools. No arrests have been made and police currently have no suspects.

A 15-year-old male was arrested at Save Mart on Tuesday on suspicion of theft after police say he attempted to steal a bottle of E&J Brandy from the store. The boy was detained by private security guards at the store until police arrived and booked him into juvenile hall.
