Police blotter: Thieves out stealing cars

Burglary

The window of an auto in the 800 Block of Summer Drive was damaged at 7:10 a.m. Aug. 4, and stolen were a small television and a harness that had secured it to the seat.



Vehicle thefts

Two vehicles were stolen on Aug. 3 in Hollister. The first was a 2004 silver Chevrolet Aveo taken between 3:30 p.m. on Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday. It was stolen from Sacred Heart Church but was recovered the next day by the Hollister Police Department. The second automobile theft happened between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday in the 900 Block of Karen Court. The vehicle is described as a black 1994 Chevrolet Malibu Sedan. The vehicle remains missing.



ARRESTS

Possession of a controlled substance with intent

Hollister police made a traffic stop on a juvenile at 1:02 a.m. Aug. 4 in the 200 block of Line Street. The juvenile was stopped due to a curfew violation, and a resulting search turned up nine ecstasy pills.
