Police blotter: Church tagged, house ransacked

ARRESTS

Battery, Meridian Street

A 28-year-old female is suspected of battery against an 18-year-old female. The suspected altercation occurred in the 1100 block of Meridian St. at 12:20 p.m. Sunday. It began with a verbal argument outside of the victim's residence. The victim went inside, and police allege that the suspect followed her in and began battering her. The suspect was taken into custody and the matter has been referred to the office of the district attorney.



CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Lost Property, Line Street

Police took a report from a man on Saturday in the 1200 block of Line Street who stated that he had lost his consular card and his Mexican passport.



Burglary, Third Street

Police took a report at 7:20 a.m. Saturday that unknown suspects had kicked in the side door of a home located in the 600 block of Spring Drive. The suspects ransacked the house, taking multiple items. The police report does not list the items at this time.



Vandalism, Fourth Street

The police department reports that at 9 p.m. the Church Of Christ on Fourth and Powell streets was vandalized. Unknown suspects painted three letters in several places using blue spray paint.
