Police blotter: Swan-shaped planters, plants stolen

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS



Robbery, San Benito Street

A man who noticed a male subject attempting to break into a vehicle just after midnight on Friday on the 500 block of San Benito Street confronted him and attempted to stop him, according to the police department. In the ensuing scuffle, the suspect stole the reporting party's necklace and fled. The suspect remains at large.



Theft, Cushman Street

At 6:30 a.m. last Tuesday police took a report from a resident of the 600 block of Cushman Street who reported that two swan-shaped planters and the plants they contained were taken from her front lawn.



Burglary, Sunset Drive

At 9:30 a.m. last Tuesday Hollister police officers took a report from a woman who told them her detached garage on the 1000 block of Sunset Drive had been burglarized. According to police, she returned home to find the garage door open, several boxes missing and several others opened. Toys, clothes and tools were reported as missing.



Burglary, Westside Boulevard

A laptop was reported stolen at 3 a.m. Jan. 5 from a residence on the 600 block of Westside Blvd.



ARRESTS



Unable to care for self, Hawkins Street

Police took a 31-year-old Hollister female into custody at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday after they determined that she was too intoxicated to care for her own well being.
