HOLLISTER
Local drug agents arrested two Hollister residents and seized $6,000 in methamphetamine, paraphernalia and $5,500 in cash on the 100 block of Karen Court, according to a press release from the United Narcotics Enforcement Team.
According to the release, they discovered 137 grams of methamphetamine, 16.1 grams of cocaine, $5,545 in cash and various paraphernalia. They worked in conjunction with several other law enforcement agencies.
Ernest Salas, 42, and Antionette Arriola, 36, both of Hollister, were arrested after a search on the female by the San Benito County Probation Office. Probation was assisted by UNET, the San Benito County Sheriff's Office and the Hollister Police Department.
Other recovered items included 19.55 grams of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, two digital pocket scales, packaging material, pay/owe sheets indicating the names of the arrested suspects, a digital scanner, a surveillance camera and ammunition, according to the release. The $5,545 in cash was seized pursuant to asset forfeiture laws, according to the press release.
