Police blotter: Nine rounds fired into home

Forgery, Argonne Avenue

At 5:49 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report from the victim of check cashing. The victim allowed a 27-year-old Hollister male to stay at his residence on the 900 block of Argonne Avenue overnight. The victim noticed that several check were missing, which were later cashed. The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail.



Drunk in public, San Benito Street

Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, an officer noticed a 29-year-old Hollister man laying down in the parking lot of Jessie's Gas on the 700 block of San Benito Street. The officer deemed that he was unable to take care of himself and arrested the man and booked him into the county jail.



Under the influence of a controlled substance, Central Avenue and Miller Road

At 12:27 p.m. on Sunday, police were contacted regarding suspicious activity behind El Michoacano Restaurant, near the intersection of Central Avenue and Miller Road. Once the 43-year-old Hollister male was contacted by police, he was evaluated to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.



CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS



Shooting an inhabited dwelling, Busby Court

At 10:56 p.m. on Thursday, unknown suspects fired nine rounds into a residence on the 700 block of Busby Court. Police do not know why this incident took place and said that the persons living at the address do not have gang affiliations. The case is still under investigation.



False impersonation, San Juan Drive

At 2 p.m. on June 26, a suspect attempted to file a stolen bike report using another person's name in the area of San Juan Drive and Miller Road. The case has been referred to the District Attorney's Office.



Assault with a deadly weapon, Osborne Circle

At 9:48 p.m. on Saturday, a victim was struck in the back of the head with a beer bottle during an argument on the 2100 block of Osborne Circle. Police said the victim is fine and there was no suspect information available.



Possession of a dangerous weapon, Line Street

At 3:08 p.m. on Friday, an officer pulled over a suspect for a vehicle violation near the intersection of Line Street and South Street. Upon speaking with the suspect, the officer saw a red hammer in the vehicle. The suspect was cited for the vehicle violation and the weapon report was forwarded to the District Attorney's Office.
