Proposed water park could bring great benefits to San Benito County

Dear Editor,
I was pleasantly surprised to read about a proposed water park for the enjoyment of local families and out-of-town visitors. What a coup for our community, bringing weekend and summer jobs for our youth, family fun and a wide variety of activities in addition to the water park.
The county will benefit from the income, and the park will bring tourists here to enjoy our county and perhaps stay and visit some of our other attractions!
While we try to recover from our building moratorium and businesses closing, what a boost this would be to complement our other family activities which have endured through these tough economic times.
I hope that the permit process will be streamlined for the city and county so that we will be ready to bring in business, industry and family activities to benefit the community. Let's welcome those wishing to invest in this county.
