The Hollister American 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars suffered their first loss Friday against District 44.
Hollister American fell 5-3 in the semifinal game of the Section 5 Tournament at San Jose's Oakridge Little League field.
Now in the elimination bracket, Hollister American will play Saturday against the District 59/District 12 winner in the consolation semifinals at Oakridge Little League. First pitch is 11 a.m.
The winner of that game will move on to Sunday's championship against District 44, slated for Oakridge Little League at 1 p.m. If necessary, a second championship game is scheduled for Monday at Oakridge Little League at 5:30 p.m.
Oakridge Little League is located at Anderson Elementary School, located on Bangor and Calpine in San Jose.
Meanwhile, Hollister National A advanced to the consolation semifinals in the 9- and 10-year-old Section 5 Tournament when they defeated District 12 7-4 Friday at the Campbell Little League field.
Hollister National A will play Saturday at the Campbell Little League at 11 a.m., with a chance to advance to Sunday's championship. Sunday's championship is slated for 2 p.m. If necessary, a second championship game would be played on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
